Abstract: | Measurements of wind speed were made above the canopy of an oak forest in foliated and non-foliated conditions. Zero plane displacement height was estimated at 7.2 and 5.5 m, while roughness length was estimated at 1.0 and 0.9 m, for foliated and nonfoliated conditions respectively. Mean tree height was 9.6 m. The effect of both parameters on evaporation of intercepted rainfall is evaluated. |
