New norlignan derivatives from Curculigo capitulata

Two new norlignan derivatives, crassifoside I (1) and sinensigenin C (2), were isolated from the rhizomes of Curculigo capitulate, along with six known norlignan derivatives, 1,1-bis(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-1-(2-furan)-methane (3), crassifogenin B (4), crassifoside A (5), breviscaside A (6), crassifoside D (7), and curcapital (8). Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectral evidence and comparisons with literature data. The ¹H and ¹³C NMR data of compound 3 was first assigned. Compounds 3–7 were isolated from this plant for the first time.
