Abstract:It is estimated that the soil in about two thirds of cultivated land was deficient of phosphorus (P) in China, and that the average use efficiency of phosphorus was only 10%-25%. Researches on the effects of long-term fertilization on cropland soil phosphorus are reviewed, and the developments on P sink, P forms, and P distribution in soil layers are described as well.
