Abstract:In order to explore a highly efficient culture mode and improve the culture benefits of Phascolosoma esculenta,a graded culture trial was carried out in the Qiyi Pond in Wenling,Zhejiang Province during 2015 and 2016.Wild P.esculenta larvae used in graded culture trial were collected from the intertidal zone.The total area of test ponds was 4.67 hm2,including 1.47 hm2 for P.esculenta larvae cultivation and 3.20 hm2 for juvenile P.esculenta cultivation.In mid-July of 2015,1425 kg/hm2 P.esculenta larvae with 6260 ind./kg of initial body weight were stocked in the ponds.After 6 months of cultivation,10400 kg juveniles were harvested and their average body weight have reached to 773 ind./kg.Part of these juveniles were transported to four ponds with total area of 3.20 hm2,while the others were remained in two ponds(1.47 hm2)for further cultivation.From mid-January to the end of February 2017,61970 kg adult P.esculenta were harvested,with 3.2254 million RMB of output value and 1.8554 million RMB of net profit.After calculation,the average yield,output value and profit were 13270 kg/hm2,690700 RMB/hm2,397300 RMB/hm2,respectively.
