| Abstract: | Water is one of the most important factors in arid ecosystem. The eco-systems of China's northwest inland oases are characterized by the landformof high mountains encycling low basins. The paper expounds from the geogra-phical point of view the concepts and characteristics of the ecosystems loca-ted in the inland basins of northwest China, overally analyzing their struct-ures, functioning and dynamic balances. |
