Abstract: | A mathematical solution is proposed of the long-discussed problem of accumulation and decomposition of forest humus, and a generalized form of a dynamic mathematical model of energy budgets of a forest humus layer with any number of subhorizons differing in degree of decomposition is presented. Methods of taking measurements of the relevant parameters for the model are also indicated.The model in question has been applied in analysing the results of detailed studies of energy budgets of forest-floor layers in examples of three climax forest ecosystems with three different types of forest humus (mull, moder, mor). |
