Analysis of Lightning Location System and Its Application in Guangxi

Lightning is one of the important natural disasters,which has caused great harm to human production and life. Lightning location system is an effective mean to study lightning law and guide lightning protection and reduction work. This paper introduced the monitoring principle and basic overview of lightning location system in Guangxi,and analysed in detail the application of lightning location system in lightning early warning,lightning stroke risk assessment,lightning accident investigation,lightning safety detection,lightning law research. Since it was put into use,Guangxi lightning location system had accumulated a large amount of lightning activity data,which can effectively guide lightning accident analysis and provide scientific basis for lightning activity research and differential lightning protection.
