| Abstract: | According to the features of water cycle in protective forest ecosystems in loessarea,the author puts forward the equation for the soil and water balance of the protective forestecosystems. The tables of soil water balance are presented for six different ecosystems(black lo-cust,Chinese pine,seabuck thorn,david ostryopsis,grass and bare land) in 1988-1992. Fromthe experimental results of soil water balance,the author analyzes the input and output of theprotective forest ecosystem, and points out that rainfall is the main water input,the exchange ofwater between the root zone and deep soil is a very important input,evaportranspiration is themain water output, canopy interception is also an important output , but surface runoff is a verysmall source of water output.By the analysis of the coefficient of water balance intensity and thecoefficient of water balance guarantee,the author points out that soil water is insufficient for ar-bors,but is sufficient for shrubs. |
