用叶绿素含量评价快生型大豆根瘤菌的共生有效性

USE OF CHLOROPHYLL ASSAY FOR THE EFFECTIVENESS RANKING OF STRAINS OF Rhizobium fredii

In greenhouse-grown soybeanGlycine max(L.)Merr. cv. Aijiaozao ]supplied with different amounts of combined nitrogen(0,75,150,300 and 600 mg/pot,N as NH4NO3),the chlorophyll content of leaf discs was significantly correlated with shoot dry weight(r=0.93,P<0.01)and shoot total N(r=0.87,P<0.01).In a parallel experiment with plants inoculated with Rhizobium fredii strains of varying effectiveness,there was a significant(P<0.01)correlation between chlorophyll and shoot dry weigh(r=0.98),shoot total N (r=0.89)and nitrogenase activity(r=0.95).Effectiveness ranking of strains of R.fredii based on chlorophyll content and shoot total N were similar. Our data support the use of leaf chlorophyll content as an indirect measure of N status of soybeans and the effectiveness ranking of strains of rhizobia.
