Effects of Retractile Pruning on the Growth of New Branches and Fruit Bearing of the Loquats |

| Abstract: | Through the experiment we study the influence of width of the cut in loquat pruning on the growth of new branches,the growth dynamies of the flower ear and the fruit bearing of loquats.The results showed that the width of the cut between 1.00 and 1.30cm(Treatment Ⅱ),and between 1.30 and 1.60cm(Treatment Ⅲ) had significant or highly significant affects on the growth of new branches,diameter and length of flower ear.Treatment Ⅲ had significant differences compared with other freatments and contral in cut numler,distance between cut and branch base,sprouting number and fruitage rate of interior branches.Significant differences also existed in sprounting number,fruitage rate,single fruit weight and yield of exterior branches.The single fruit weight and gield of exterior branches were better than those of interior branches. |
