Abstract:The pathogen that causes bovine viral diarrhea-mucosal disease(BVD-MD)is Bovine viral diarrhea virus(BVDV),and the infected cattle will have symptoms similar to other diarrhea diseases It is difficult to make accurate identification only through clinical manifestations and pathological observations;secondly,persistently infected cattle(PI)cattle are the main source of infection of the disease,and how to identify and purify PI cattle in cattle farms is very important.In order to detect BVDV pathogens and purify PI cattle,it is very important to choose an optimal detection method.The article compares and analyzes the different BVDV detection methods commonly used at present.Different detection methods have differences in sensitivity and specificity.In actual application,the appropriate detection method should be selected according to the comprehensive consideration of the detection purpose.
