Some advances in important research on soil in a changing world

This special issue, for celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Pedosphere (founded in 1991), contains 15 articles reviewing recent advances and the state of the art of important topics, including some emerging topics, in soil science. The first article in this issue, by Du et al., is a meta-analysis systematically reviewing the effect of elevated carbon dioxide (CO₂) on nitrogen oxide (N₂O) emission from global agricultural soils, depending on other soil and experimental conditions.

Some advances in important research on soil in a changing world
