Abstract:The experiment was to investigate the effect of fermented flaxseed cake on growth performance, antioxidant and immune function of broilers. 180 one-day-old healthy AA broilers with the body weight of(46.37±1.09) g were divided into three group, with six replicates in each group and ten AA broilers in each replicate. The experiment was divided into two stages: the early stage(1~21 d) and the late stage(22~42 d). The control group(CON group) was fed with a cornsoybean meal diet, and the experimental groups were fed with a basal diet supplemented with 5% unfermented flaxseed cake(FSC group) and 5% fermented flaxseed cake(SFFSC group), respectively. The results showed that in early stage of the experiment, the ADG of broilers in SFFSC group was significantly higher than that in FSC group(P<0.05), and the ADFI in SFFSC group was significantly higher than that in FSC group(P<0.05). In the second phase, the ADG of broilers in FSC group was significantly lower than that in CON group(P<0.05), and the ADFI in SFFSC group was significantly higher than that in FSC group(P<0.05). Compared with FSC group, the crude protein digestibilitywas significantly higher in FFSC group and CON group(P<0.05). The T-AOC in SFFSC group were significantly higher than those in CON group(P<0.05).The content of IgA in SFFSC group were significantly higher than those in CON group and FSC group(P<0.05). The duodenal villus height in FSC group was significantly lower than that in CON group(P<0.05), the crypt depth was significantly higher than that in CON group and SFFSC group(P<0.05), and the ratio of villus height and crypt depth was significantly lower than that in CON group(P<0.05). The study indicates that the replacement of soybean meal with SFFSC in diet can improve the growth performance by improving the intestinal morphology of broiler chickens, increasing the digestibility of nutrients, and enhancing the antioxidant and immunity function of the body.
