The discipline inspection and supervision work in the local agricultural scientific research institutes is an important part of management in agricultural research institute and has great influence in forming a good scientific research atmosphere. This paper illustrated the characteristics of discipline inspection work in the local agricultural scientific research institutes, analyzed the current situation of discipline inspection and supervision work and the methods to strengthen the discipline inspection function of the agriculture scientific research institutes, and finally clarified the innovation pattern of modern scientific research institutes development in three aspects including supervision mechanism, team construction, incentive mechanism and so on.
