| Abstract: | Zizyphus mauritiana(Lam.)is an important host plant for the exotic species of lac
insect,Kerria sindica Mahd..Seeds of the trees taken from 5 districts in Yunnan Province,China and
Narkum,Burma were used in the experiment and the result shows that there is a close relationship
between their characters,germination and growth patterns of the seedlings and young trees and
their geographical distribution and climatic condition. These would provide scientific basis for the
distribution boundary and classification of the climatic ecotypes,and would be helpful for choosing
better forms of the tree. |
