DEVELOPING OF TELEMETERING DEVICE APPLIED TO RECORDING GRAZING BEHAVIOUR OF SHEEP

The telemetering device with the function of programme control, which has been applied to recording grazing behaviour of sheep, was intergrated with the single-chip microcomputer for the first time in this study. With the device, main six parameters about grazing behaviour of sheep, such as eating time either per hour or per day; chewing number for eating, meal number in diurnal eating; ruminating time either per hour or per day; the number of bites in rumination and the number of rumination periods, can be directly collected and record. The device processes some advantages of collecting more parameters, recording data objectively and being used conveniently.
