The Advanced Progress of POU1F1 Gene in Bovine and Caprine

POU1F1 gene is a member of the POU gene family,POU1F1 protein plays an important role in embryonic differentiation and growth of mammal.In this paper,the newest progress of the structural feature and function of POU1F1 gene;the structural feature,action mode and regulation mechanism of POU1F1 protein were introduced.Moreover,the genetic variations of the POU1F1 gene in bovine and Caprine and their relationship with economic traits were reviewed in recent years.
