| Abstract: | The origin and characteristics of four varieties of hardy apple, i.e. " Dolgo crab ', " Huang-haitang" , "Huahong" and "Olga crab" , are introduced and evaluated. Their utilization in apple breeding is also reviewed, which is of use for further study. |
