| Abstract: | The current status of the studies on the synaptonemal complex(SC)in higher plants is re-viewed in this paper,including the structure and composition of SC,its initiation and formation,the relation-ships between SC,recombination nodules and crossover as well as the exceptional SC.The application of theSC in genetical analysis is also summarized. |
