大学英语教改新形势下的“三基”教学

摘    要:让大学生拥有较扎实的英语语言综合能力,既是教改的必定目标,又是英语综合能力得以有效运用的具体表现。在对青岛科技大学66名大学英语教师及2006和2007级随机抽取的近600名大学生的英语教学和英语学习的情况调查发现:对“五基”(听、读、写、说、译)能力中最为基础的“三基”(听、读、写)能力的培养是教师英语教学和学生英语学习是否理想的关键。可见正确理解和处理“三基”教学之间的关系对于大学英语教学至关重要。由于多方原因的影响,在教学中总是出现对它们的重要性和相互关系认识不足以及它们之间不能协调平衡发展的局限性。文中从“三基”在教学中的地位、“三基”教学的现状、“三基”教学的关系以及“三基”教学的实施等四个方面对教改新形势下的“三基”教学进行论证,得出实施“三基”教学的有效方法。

Abstract:The purpose of the College English teaching reform is to let college students master the comprehensive skills, which is also a concrete reflection of the students' comprehensive English competence. In an experiment, the author sampled 66 English teachers and about 600 hundred students of Grades 06 and 07 from Qingdao University of Science and Technology, and made an investigation of their teaching and learning processes, respectively. The result showed that the cultivation of the "three-basic" skills of the "five-basic" skills mentioned in this paper should be the key point both for the teachers' teaching and for the students' learning. Thus it is obvious that reasonable "three-basic" skill teaching is the key to College English teaching. Due to different causes, it is common for the understanding of the relations between them and their balanced development to be neglected. Therefore, the author discusses the relationship between these "three-basic" teachings in the following aspects: the position of the three basic skills in College English teaching, the present situation of their teaching and the relations between three basic skills and proposes the approaches to the application of their teaching process.
