Abstract: | Abstract The patterns of Zn absorption and transport from different concentrations of ZnSo4 were examined in young peanut (Arachis hypogaea L. cv. T.G. 1) seedlings. It was found that the absorption from low concentrations of ZnSO4 followed a typical biphasic pattern suggestive of an active process. The transport to the leaves was very much less than the amount absorbed by roots. It is concluded that Zn is not freely mobile in peanut seedlings. |
