Effect of a commercial plant growth regulator on the elemental content of tea plants |
| |
Abstract: | Abstract Response of field grown mature tea to the foliar application of Biozyme Crop Plus, a commercial plant growth regulator, applied at different concentrations ranging from 250 to 1000 ppm was evaluated. Tea shoots were analysed to determine their N, P, K, Ca, and Mg contents. The treated tea plant shoots contained significantly higher contents of N and K followed by Ca and Mg than the untreated control plant shoots. The total chlorophyll content of Biozyme treated tea shoots was also increased significantly. Yield response to Biozyme applied to tea bushes were also determined. |
