Abstract:The direction of the axis of symmetry of regular hexagon columnar ice crystals differed in different cloud layers. The axis of symmetry of ice crystals was parallel to the earth's surface and distributed in every direction in each horizontal plane. This distribution made different minimum deviation in nonprincipal section, and formed a coronal halo With a water-contained prism which simulated the ice prism we drew the experimental diagram and deduced the shape of the coronal halo.
