| Abstract: | Stoma site metastasis of gastric adenocarcinoma was documented 37 d after partial gastrectomy with gastrostomy tube placement, and 22 d after tube removal. The tube was placed through grossly normal tissue but histopathologic examination revealed neoplasia at the surgical margins and concurrent lymphatic metastasis. Stoma site metastases may be due to direct tumor seeding or hemolymphatic spread. |
