| 摘 要： | 英文报刊标题是文章的主题或最有价值的新闻内容，有其自身的措辞特点。阅读英文报刊，首先得学会看懂和理解报刊标题。以中国H报为例，着重讨论英文报刊标题用词的若干特点，如使用缩略词、小词和省略等等，以期有助于初读英文报刊学习者了解这些特点，学会看懂标题，能够较顺利地理解标题意思以及预测新闻主旨。
