| Abstract: | The study was conducted to investigate the effects of L-carnitine supplements on population growth,total lipids and soluble protein in freshwater micro-algae Chlorella vulgaris.Algae were cultured with SE formulations and enriched by 3 levels of L-carnitine: 0,5 and 50 mg/L for 7 days.The results showed that L-carnitine supplements significantly(P<0.05) affected the population growth of enriched algae and two levels of L-carnitine enrichment(5,50 mg/L) produced different responses on population growth compa... |
