摘    要:刺楸是我国最珍贵的阔叶树种之一,其材质优良,花纹美丽,经济价值高,用途广泛。在人工林中生长迅速,6年生高可达2米。虽然生长期短,但其年生长量却很大。刺楸在湿润地方生长其肉质根发达,适生于土壤肥沃排水良好的地方。在人工林中幼年期常常出现枯梢和一些严重的病害,为了使其稳定生长应和其它阔叶树种一同栽植形成混交林。由于生长期短,在6月上、中旬其高生长就停止了,因此必需对林木和土壤及时进行抚育管理。

Abstract:Kalopanax septemlobum is one of the most valuable broadleaf wood tress in China. It has many desirable properties, such as the superior wood quality, elegant grain, high economical value, multiple use and rapid growth rate when grown in the man-made forest. It could attain 2m high at the age of 6. Although its seasonal growth period is short, it has a big yearly increment. Kalopanax septemlobum is fit for moist and cool site, where the fleshy roots flourish. It thrives in fertile soil with good drainage. In the man-made forest the tip withering usually apears at the initial stage, and some severe diseases occur. In order to maintain stable growth, it should be mixed in forest with other broadleaf trees. Due to short growth period, its height growth stops in early or mid-June. Therefore, it is necessary to manage the soil and the trees in time.
