摘    要:红树林是指由红树科植物组成的一类陆地向海洋过渡的特殊生态系。红树林由于盘根错节的发达根系,能有效地滞留陆地来源的泥沙等悬浮物质,起到防风消浪、固岸护堤的作用;红树林特殊的生态适应性—胎生、特殊根系、泌盐等,及其底栖生物的作用,使红树林具有净化水体、减少赤潮发生的作用。本文综述了红树林净化水质的作用机理。

Abstract:Mangroves are a unique ecosystem composed of mangrove plants that grow in the zone between land and ocean. Mangroves have a well-developed intertwined root system and can effectively hold back suspended substances of land based sources like mud, protecting coastal banks and embankments from wind and wave. Mangroves have a special ecological adaptability such as viviparity, special root system, ability to filter salt out, etc, and the organisms under the mangroves are diverse. The mangroves can therefore act to purify water and to reduce occurrence of red tides. The mechanism of the mangroves in water purification is reviewed.
