Abstract: | Signs of heart failure due to cardiac tamponade developed in a young dog with previously unrecognized renal disease. The uremic syndrome was considered the likely cause of the effusive pericarditis found at necropsy. In a review of necropsy records from 150 dogs with renal disease, 11 had pericardial lesions. |
