Identification and biological characteristic of blueberry Diaporthe bud blight pathogen

Bud blight was a new disease on blueberry. Pathogenicity, identification and biological characteristics of bud blight pathogen were conducted in this study. The pathogen was placed in Diaporthe eres clade in phylogenitic tree based on combined ITS,EF1-α and TUB sequences. Comprehensive analysis of morphological characteristics and phylogenitic tree identified the pathogen as Diaporthe eres. This pathogen was different from the reported Diaporthe spp. on blueberry in phylogenitic position, symptoms and morphological cha-racteristics. The biological characteristics test showed that the pathogen perferred high temperature, and was not sensitive to light and nutrition.
