A simple method for the analysis of picloram and 2,4-D or 2,4,5-T in mixtures and commercial formulations

A method is described for the analysis of mixtures of picloram with 2,4-D or 2,4,5-T in commercial formulations. The method involves the esterification of the acids in sealed tubes at 105°C using boron trifiuoride-methanol reagent, followed by extraction, and then estimation by gas chromatography using flame ionisation detection.
