Abstract:The metribuzin-tolerant germplasm UGA1113MT and a cultivar H7492 of tomato and their progenies have been tested, setting up 10 concentration treatments of metribuzin and adopting Souza Machado' s bioassay, to study inheritance of the metribuzin tolerance in tomato. The result indicates that the inheritance of the metribuzin tolerance in tomato is incomplete recessive, the degree of average dominant - (H/D)~(1/2)=-0. 546,the minimum number of genes K = l. 27, estimated that this trait is governed by more than one gene pair. The regressive equations of the seedling survival rates on the concentrations of metribuzin in F_2 and B_2 of this cross are: P = 4. 6341 - 2. 4130 lg C_i, r=-0. 9390, P = 5. 1600-3. 3481 lg C_i,r=-0. 9820, respectively.
