| Abstract: | Several edible shoot - product bamboos including Phyllostachyspraecox, Ph.prominens, Ph. iridenscens, Ph. vivax, Ph. dulcis,and Ph. glabrata were introduced into theproject area. With a view to creating a suitable pattern to grow these bamboos, they were studiedfor 7 years in terms of variations in geography and growth performance between the project areaand the native localities. It is believed that the production of edible bamboo shoots in Hunan willhave much to benefit from this study. |
