| Abstract: | There exist problems in the operation of either a screw gate lifting device or a hydraulic operated gate lifting device. The cause of the problem is probed and discussed in this paper. By comparing several types of design and based on the principles of operation of the device, a new idea of design of a rack-pinion gate lifting device is presented. |
