The Poisonous Plants in New Zealand Wellington: P 121. Government Printer,. [Google Scholar]). In this country pigs (Anon, 1978 Anon. 1978. Suspected onion poisoning (pigs). Surveillance, 31: 17–17. [Google Scholar]) and a dog (Smith and Ellison, 1986 Smith, CH and Ellison, RS. 1986. Concurrent onion poisoning and haematuria in a dog. New Zealand Veterinary Journal, 34: 77–78. [Taylor &; Francis Online], [Web of Science ®] , [Google Scholar]) have been reported as having been poisoned by eating onions. This letter reports a case of poisoning by that plant. |
