兴林为什么必须依靠科技

中国近几十年来不乏花钱费力买灾受的实例。现在要求依靠科技发展经济,振兴各行各业,实是某种觉醒。林业是特殊的国民经济部门,以下各点说明兴林不靠科技是不行的:1.林业生产的长周期性与投入的短期性,而短期的投入决定着长期的生产力;2.林业多在与边际条件打交道,不认识边际性,既难成功,又极不可能盈利;3.发达国家林业从传统的生产林业在向既保证生产增长又维护改善森林社会效益的现代林业转变;4.包括我国内的发展中国家林业面临的任务远比发达国家复杂。

In recent decades, many cases happened in China that resulted in disasters after devoting tremendous labour and spending lots of money.It is a waking up to some extent, when decision-maker realizes, that China's economic development and take-off should depend on science and technology.Forestry is.a special economic sector and the following features show tjie necessity of scieilce and technology in promoting forestry development, l) Forestry production is of -long term while the investment is of short term, but the short term investment decides the productivity of long term, 2) Forestry has contact with marginal land.Its condition is near the limit or borderline, below or beyond which success of planting is impossible economically or physiologically, 3) In developed countries traditional sustained wood-producing 'forestry is progressing to a modern forestry,in which the emphasized wood production function is closely linked with paying great attention to recreation, nature and environmental protection value of forests, 4) In developing nations population pressure on forests is everywhere.It is not suitable to apply directly experience of developed nations, since tasks of developing nations in forestry are much more complicated.
