| Abstract: | The paper introduces the worlewide development history of automatic tank gauging, and describes the typical automatic tank gauging systems made by the following manufacturers :VAREC, ROS MOUNT, FOXBORO, TOXAS, KROHNE, ENRAF, SAAB, atc. Also introduced and analyzed are the newest domestic instruments for automatic tank gauging. The following types of metering systems and instruments are described :float and tape, servo, capacitance, light guide, microwave radar, User radar, ultrasonic, gravimetric, hydrostatic, etc. Meanwhile , different types of systems are compared for their metering precision and performance, with their development trends predicted. |
