| Abstract: | The theory of intertextuality breaks the traditional idea of meaning and provides a new perspective for translation studies. From the perspective of pragmatic cognition, this paper discusses the significance of the intertextuality theory for the theory and practice of translation. The author holds that the translator should use flexible translation strategies so as to guarantee the intertextual coherence between the original text and the translation version. |
