| Abstract: | The reform of forest management has been an issue that forest departments have been discussing continuously. This paper explores the history of collective forest management models in Suining County,Hunan Province and the changes in the models over time.It summarizes the lessons from Suining's experience,as well as the social and structural conditions for adopting Suining's management models through an analysis of the impacts of collective management and the factors leading to the model's success over the past twenty years or more. |
