Effects of Application Time and Quantity of Nitrogen Fertilizer on Oil and Protein Yield of High Quality Hybrid Rape Cultivars

Abstract:To illustrate the effects of application time and quantity of nitrogen fertilizer on oil and protein yield, quadratic regression orthogonal gyration combination design were carried out using hybrid cultivars "Youyan 599" and "SanBei 98", which characterize in high quality. The results showed that the maximum oil yield (79.21 kg/667m2) might be obtained from the application of 8.0 kg/hm2 living rape fertilizer, 8.0 kg/hm2 opening fertilizer, and 3.40 kg/667m2 12th lunar month fertilizer, accounting for 41.24% , 41.24% and 17.52% of the total, respectively. Total application amount of nitrogen fertilizer to get maximum oil yield differed between the two eultivars. However, 8.0 kg/hm2 of living rape fertilizer, 8.0 kg/hm2 of opening fertilizer, and 7.90 kg/667m2of 12th lunar month fertilizer, accounting for 33.47% , 33.47% and 33.06% of the total, respectively should be used to yield maximum protein (49.11 kg/667m2). No significant difference in total amount of nitrogen fertilizer used was observed to gain maximum protein yield between two eultivars.
