特用竹种——酒竹的引种繁育初报

酒竹,以其可以伤流形式分泌出含酒精的天然营养液而闻名于世,但目前,世界上对酒竹研究、开发和利用尚处于初始阶段。本文对酒竹这一重要经济竹种的引种和初期的扦插、培育、密度限制等工作做了详细的报告,为收集种质和培育特种竹种提供了基础资料。

Introduction Report of Oxytenanthera braunii a Bamboo Species Excreting Alcohol

Oxytenanthera braunii is mainly found in the natural forests of the southern and northern parts of east Africa.Its bamboo juice can be used as a soft drink when freshly tapped or as alcohol when left to ferment.We introduced O.braunii into China and did a series of experiments such as cuttage techniques transplantation of individual shoots with stump,growth comparison of new clones in different habitats,cutting seedling and its adaptability.We found that the best reserve sites of germplasm resources in China is Mojiang and Guangning in Yunnan province for its abundant rainfall and adaptable temperature range,while the city of Hangzhou in Zhejiang province and Yuanjiang in Yunnan province were not suitable for it.In Hangzhou,the lower temperature in winter limited its growth and even resulted in the death of O.braunii.Meanwhile,the climate in Yuanjiang was favorable to the development of insect pest.The survival ratios showed that the cuttage technique may not only speed up propagation of O.braunii,but also increase survival rate of plantation if providing enough nutrient material.O.braunii can be introduced and expanded by this technique.
