早中熟豇豆新品种绵豇8号的选育

绵豇8号是以红嘴燕为母本,以翠皮肉豇为父本进行杂交,通过系统选育而成的豇豆新品种。早中熟,生长势强,主蔓结荚为主,春季播种到始收68 d左右。商品荚浅绿色,荚长56 cm左右,单荚质量17 g左右,肉厚,粗细均匀,品质优,商品性好。春季每667 m2嫩荚产量2 200 kg左右,适应性广,耐病性强,可作春露地及秋季栽培。

Breeding of Mianjiang No.8, a New Early-mid Maturing Cowpea Cultivar

Mianjiang No.8 is a new cowpea hybrid developed by crossing Hongzuiyan as female parent with Cuipiroujiang as male parent after system selection. It is of early-mid maturity. It is vigorous. The fruit mainly set on main stem. The time from sowing to the first harvest is 68 days in spring .The commercial fruit is light green and its length is about 56 cm, single fruit weight is about 17 g, the flesh is thick, it has excellent quality and good commodity. The yield of tender fruit is about 2 200 kg/667 m2 in spring. And it has good suitability and strong resistance to disease, so it is suitable for cultivation in spring and autumn.
