海福特牛眼鳞状细胞癌的防治

对三群共737头海福特牛眼进行检查,凡眼新生瘤直径超过3mm 的进行治疗实验,小于3mm 的则不作治疗实验,但在以后间隔3～4个月的检查中,如果新生瘤直径发展到5mm 时也治疗。实验开始牛患新生瘤率为8.1～45.7%,3年多后减为1.5～8.8%。经1～2次治疗,71%的患牛痊愈;75%未治疗牛的新生瘤也可自行消失。本病夏天发病率高,冬天发病率低。

CONTROLLING OCULAR SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA IN HEREFORD CATTLE

In 3 herds 737 Hereford cattle were examined for neoplastic ocular lesions. Initially all lesions greater than 3ram diameter were treated by cryosurgery; smaller lesions were left untreated At subsequent inspections,lesions which had increased to 5mm diameter were treated.The prevalence of ocular lesions in the herds ranged from 8.1 to 45.7% at the commencement of the study,and from 1.5 to 8.8% after 3.5 years.In treated cattle 71% of lesions regressed after one or two treatments.75% of the small untreated ...
