双抗8号西瓜新品种的选育

利用 94S8和 97F0 3自交系选配的杂交一代西瓜新品种双抗 8号 ,经苗期枯萎病接种鉴定 ,平均病株率为 30 .8% ,接近于对照品种西农 8号 ,抗性表现属中抗水平。田间试验示范结果表明 ,双抗 8号主抗枯萎病 ,兼抗炭疽病 ;生育期较对照西农 8号提早 3～ 4d ;易坐果 ,且坐果整齐 ,产量较对照增产 3%左右 ;可溶性固形物含量较对照提高 0 .7个百分点 ;瓤色红 ,品质优 ,商品性好 ,耐贮运 ,适宜于山西省各地及周边省份种植

Selection of a New Watermelon Hybrid Shuangkang No.8

The watermelon hybrid Shuangkang No.8 was bred by crossing the selfed lines 94S8 and 97F03. The seedling inculation screening result showed that it was moderately resistant to blight (Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. niveum) with the arerage disease incidence of 30.8%, which was close to that of the control bybrid,Xinong No.8.The field evaluation result showed that Shuangkang No.8 was risistant to antbracnoce (Collototrichum obicalare) as well as blight .Its growing period was 3～4 days shorter than Xinong No.8.It sets melon well and evenly,and its soluble solid substance was higher than the control by 0.7%. It has elite quality with red flesh. It stands well in storage and transpotation with superior commercial characters and wide adaptability for growing in Shanxi and adjacent areas.
