The Impact of Site-Scale Green Infrastructure on Outdoor Thermal Comfort

As an important part of urban ecological supporting system, green infrastructure could affect urban outdoor thermal comfort at physical and psychological levels. This paper reviewed the physical and psychological influence of four kinds of site-scale green infrastructure, including permeable pavement, green streets, urban parks, living roofs and green walls, on the outdoor thermal comfort, and the analyzed data came from the computer simulation and the field measure research. The research results showed clearly that the design which integrates climatic considerations can enhance the outdoor thermal comfort directly.
