Recognizing of the trend of higher agriculture education and the idea training quality of the universities in the new century

Based on the discussion of the four hot situations influencing prcsent higher agricultural education ,the author puts forward a new trend of our higher agriculture education development, which is characterized by opening and internationalization. diversity and popularization, network and modernization, and lifelong learning. A new ideas of university responsible for higher agricultrural education are also presented, diversified disciplines and comprehensive, academic fredom and running independently, first class disciplines and team of teacher, serving the society and exchanging with the rest of the world. Finally, the author puts forward several idcas necessary for training highly qualified personnel for agriculture development.
