Abstract:BHD is a new organosulfur fungicide.Laboratory tests of the abilityto inhibit bacterial growth of bacterial blight in nutrient agarmedium indicated that it showed inhibition at 500 to 1000 ppm.Thecontrol effect of about 80% was obtained by spraying 2 to 3 times (i.e;7 to 10 days/each time) with 25% BHD(W.P.).Sample or productin experimental fields of irrigated rice and the grain yield increasedup to 17% in average.Comparing with TF130 of 125ppm,the effectof BHD was not markedly different but was much higher thanPhenazine at 500 ppm.
