村民自助组织与社区森林恢复与保护的关系

Villagers' Self- help Organization and Community Forest Rehabilitation and Conservation

The author elaborates the theories that the villagers' self-help organization(VSO) of the forest communities is the agent for community sustainable forest management from the socioanthropological perspective.The author also documents the process of the VSOs with Xishuangbanna Tropical Forest Rehabilitation and Conservation Project,and elaborates the roles of VSOs.Villagers' self-help organization is a necessary social engineering for collective action of forest resource management.The author argues that establishment of villagers' selfhelp organizations is a complex social engineering,and is a necessary condition for effective community forest management.Linking social engineering with forest rehabilitation and conservation needs further investment of VSOs in forest management and balance between forest conservation and development of livelihoods. At the mean time,empowerment process requires the support of policies at the macro-level,the improvement of the awareness toward the villagers' self-help organizations.
