提高农科本科生英语实用能力的教学途径

摘    要:本分析了当前农科本科生以英语进行科技交流时面临的问题,提出由基础科技英语向双语讲授专业度过渡,循序渐进地提高学生科技英语交流能力。同时,讨论了教学的策略,提出重视学生听、说能力的提高,充分认识学生间的个体差异,实行学生分级授课,以难度适宜而渐进的英原为基础选择或编写教材。

Abstract:Low listening ability, few English terms for science and technology, large variation of English ability between individual students, relatively poor ability in practice compared with high ability for examination are the main problems facing increase in student's ability of English for science. Approaches and strategies are presented in the paper to solve the problems: 1.Enhance teaching of English for basic sciences and specialty presentation with English and Chinese; 2.Promote incentive of student of student to learn English for science; 3.Pay attention on increase in listening and speaking ability; 4.Provide more time and opportunities for students to practice; 5.Teaching in different groups in according to variation of student English ability; 6.Select or edit textbooks based on references written by native English speakers.
