Abstract:In recent years, studies on the isolation and culture of marine ciliates were limited to the effects of different culture media on population growth,and there were few reports on the toxicological data of pathogenetic ciliates in different culture media.In this experiment,the effects of four culture medias on population growth and virulence rejuvenation of ciliate(Miamiensis avidus) isolated from turbot(Scophthalmus maximus) were studied.The results showed that the density peak of population density was observed earliest in both beef extract culture medium and the modified L-15 group.The density peak in E. coli culture medium and rice grain culture medium was observed 24 hours later.The modified L-15 group had the highest population density with longer stable period and later decay period,and the rice culture medium came next.The virulence rejuvenation test of M. avidus showed that the modified L-15 culture fluid was the most suitable parasitic environment for M. avidus,and the beef extract culture was the second.
